Vocational Programs

One of CCCD’s main goals is to help our students reach their maximum potential and become active, productive members of their families and communities. Programming specifically designed to help our adolescent and adult students acquire and use work skills in a variety of community and work related settings is an important step in achieving this goal.

Volunteer program includes:

  • Exposure to a wide range of work settings and volunteer opportunities
  • Individual assessment of each student’s potential job strengths and interests
  • Extensive training aimed at ensuring our students acquire the specific job skills required for the jobs they participate in.
  • On-site instruction and support from our trained instructional staff

We help area businesses by providing volunteer workers (and support staff) to complete meaningful and necessary tasks with in their organizations while in turn the businesses help us and our students by enabling us to provide the students with a wide variety of work related experiences.

Our students provide a variety of services ranging from custodial to general office support. We are continually striving to establish new and on-going relationships with local businesses in an effort to provide them with quality volunteers. These opportunities will give our students a chance to develop work related skills so that they may transition into the work force as adults.
