Outreach

The continual commitment of the Connecticut Center for Child Development, Inc. to develop and provide quality services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families has prompted the initiation of the CCCD Outreach Program.  The Outreach Program is designed to provide home and center-based services, including assessment, program development, training, supervision, consultation, and direct instruction utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis.

The CCCD Outreach program provides training for families and respective instructors in the form of initial introduction to and overview of autism and behavior analytic techniques.  Intensive and continual hands-on assessment, training, individualized curriculum development, and program supervision are all integral parts of the CCCD Outreach Program.  After an initial child assessment and program development, CCCD Outreach provides a specified number of supervision hours per week (supervision hours are based on the total weekly hours of direct instruction and child-specific needs).  Program supervision is conducted by the Director of Outreach, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst, and/or a qualified Case Manager.  Program supervision hours always accompany direct instruction hours.

• CCCD Outreach can provide a variety of customized services to fit your child and family’s needs:
• Direct instruction and program supervision in a home and/or a public or private school  and/or in the community
• Child-specific program consultation to an existing program in a home, public or private  school setting
• Short or long-term general program consultation to a public or private school
• Short or long-term parent training
• Training presentations or workshops for public or private agencies on various topics in applied behavior analysis
